I have a dream of a new
financial system!
What becomes the drive behind finally „taking
the step forward“ into what we love to do against staying stuck in what we have
always done? And when it involves a change in a financial area how much
harder is it still to put into place?
I have found that these questions seem light to
state but rather more complicated to answer and put into action. Over the
next few weeks I wish to share with you some of my personal changes for 2013
and why.
It is not a matter of what can the world give
me. Rather it is what can I give the changing and emerging world I am
living in? This world that seems at the moment rather topsy-turvy is for me a
reflection of different levels of my own being, going through change.
I began one of these changes today, which is a
step towards one dream. I teach Qigong Yangsheng to a small group once a
week. They have been with me for two years now and I have had a set price
for individual lessons as well as when a block of six lessons was taken I gave
a reduced price. After the lesson this morning I showed them my “Sebastian”
(money box cat) explaining that he would be gladly feed by their honest
generosity as a acknowledgment for my teaching them. I will not collect a
set sum. I will not check who is paying what when.
Rather I allow them to valuate my sharing the
knowledge I have learned and the experience I have gathered and allow them to
give according to their measurement of what they receive from my teaching. I
respect them as human beings and have great faith in their returning that trust
in their payment into “Sebastian”.
A new financial system, that works for all,
needs to be created. We are so stuck in our old ways we have lost the
ability to trust in our fellow human being. This is my step back into
saying, “I have a learned technique and I am able to help you learn it as well.
Let us both see the value of what I am giving and you are receiving.
Together let us create a healthy grounding for the growth of our relationship,
acknowledging that the money paid will enhance the quality of what both
receive.”
I have a dream of a new financial system and I
see these small steps taken by small business people as making ripples in a
stale, old system. These ripples will one day become waves washing away
the old monetary system, replacing it with a stronger functional, fair and
creative monetary exchange catering to an awakened world.
Will it work? I have faith. I
have a dream for something new.
I say … “yes it will”.
